I) English and MIL (Assamese / Alt. Eng. and Environmental Studies ) (in H.S. 1st Year) are compulsory for all.
II) A student must select any three of four elective subjects from the following list :
1. Economics 2. Education
3. Political Science 4. History / Mathematics
5. Advance Assamese / Arabic
Admission to H.S. Courses:
(i) A student seeking admission into Higher Secondary First Year Class must have passed HSLC/AHM Examination conducted by SEBA/ CBSE or any other equivalent examinations conducted by recognized Board or council.
(ii) A student seeking admission into Higher Secondary Second Year Class must have passed the H.S. First Year Examination conducted by the college.
Admission to Degree Courses:
A student seeking admission into B.A. first semester class must have passed 10+2 final examination as conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any other Board or Council as recognized by Gauhati University.
In order to prepare the students for the external examinations conducted by AHSEC and with a view to getting necessary feedback, the college conducts the following internal examinations by the Internal Examination Board of the college as well as the respective departments :
(A) Unit Test: In each academic session there will be two Unit Tests for 20 Marks each to be con ducted by respective department as per schedule to be announced in advance. Attendance in the Unit Test is compulsory.
(B) Test Examination: The Internal Examination Board of the college will conduct test examinations which will be treated as qualifying examination for appearing in the finals.
